A Call for Abstracts for the new AVAS eJournal are now open. Please see the link for Vascular Access Author Guidelines for submitting your articles for publication.

Congratulations to Tim Spencer and Joy Blacka (Teleflex Medical Aust) for becoming the first Australian nurses to successfully become Vascular Access Board Certified through the VACC (www.vacert.org).

Both Tim and Joy sat their vascular access certification exam in Washington DC at the AVA Scientific Meeting earlier in September 2014.

This are exciting times as we look across our shores to develop certification processes in vascular access and elevate our profession.
